Standing in my bedroom as I got dressed for another “same old dull boring” day I could hardly breathe. I felt trapped in my own life.
I started sketching and doodling as soon as I could hold a pencil. I had this creative of dream of becoming an artist. For as long as I could remember, I had this dream of writing and illustrating a children’s book.
But like so many of us, I had a million excuses not to take any action.
However, something changed that day I stood in my bedroom. I heard a faint yet powerful voice say, “Paint or drink heavily”.
I knew I had to do something. I made a life changing decision that day to get started on my dream. I didn’t waste another minute. I called the local art school and signed up for an art class. You can read more about this in a story I have published in Chicken Soup for the Soul – Reboot Your Life.
Finally, I did publish my children’s book, A Dream Inside, in October of 2014 through Cedar Tree Books. Read more about this here http://www.liveyourcreativity.com/it-all-started-with-a-dream/
Today I like to find ways to integrate creativity into every area of my life and I LOVE helping others find a way to do the same. Live Your Creativity has helped hundreds of people tap into their creativity by guiding them to pick up a paint brush and take that first courageous paint stroke on the canvas. Live Your Creativity offers coaching programs that help others go after their creative dreams by helping them release blocks and create a plan to help guide them to take action.

Christine, author and Illustrator of the children’s book, A Dream Inside, started drawing and doodling as soon as she could hold a pencil.
Christine studied art in high school and planned on studying art in college. However, a twist of fate led her down a different path. She attended LaSalle University for Elementary and Special Education. She later attended New Jersey State College and became a Reading Specialist She taught regular education and special education in the public schools for 12 years, while teaching she inspired her students by integrating art into different subject areas.
After having her children, she took some time off from teaching and started taking art classes once again. She studied under Karl Kuerner, a leading Brandywine artist, who was mentored by Andrew Wyeth.
Christine uses acrylic on panel to create whimsical, fun, happy art that tells a story. Her works are displayed in art galleries and private collections throughout the Delaware Valley. She has exhibited at several juried shows, including The Chadds Ford Art Show, The Kutztown Rotary Show and The Chadds Ford Gallery Miniature Show.
Christine is the owner of LiveYourCreativity.com, an art and education company. She teaches others how to live their creativity through paint nights, workshops, private lessons, coaching programs and instructional products.
